I have always had a love and a drive to follow Jesus and I have always been involved in my local church, but I never felt fully connected to my church family until this last year when I moved from Oregon to Texas and I found Stonegate!
Though it was hard leaving my family and friends and everything I have known my whole life, I still knew it was the right thing to do. I have see God’s hand in everything I have done in the last year; from bringing my family closer to the Lord, going to Brazil and sharing the gospel and being baptized, to even providing closer friends than my sisters and I have ever had! I never imagined the adventures God was bringing me through and I still don’t know what’s next, but I’m going to trust he’s got me and will bring me through that, too! I have grown so much in my walk with the Lord over the last year and that’s all thanks to Stonegate!
During my internship I am looking forward to growing in this church, meeting new people and still drawing closer to Him everyday! In the short amount of time I have been on staff they have shown me how to work as a team, work in relationship and community, but most of all how to serve God and His people-from the smallest task done during the week to the event/service everyone has been preparing for! And still I can’t wait to see everything He is bringing my way!
