Brooke Salinas

Student Associate

I was born in Navarre, Florida and lived there until my dad retired from the Air Force and my family moved to Rockwall, Texas when I was 10. Jesus saved me when I was five years old, but it was at a camp in Colorado, the summer after I turned 16, that He truly captured my heart and turned my life upside down. I attended Dallas Baptist University and graduated in 2019 with a double major in Communication Theory and English Literature and a minor in Biblical Studies. In college, I started attending Stonegate and found myself unexpectedly serving with Students as a small group leader for 3 years, which became one of God’s greatest and most challenging gifts to me. After graduation, I moved to Stockton-on-Tees in the northern UK as a missionary with Tees Valley Youth for Christ where I worked with students both in a local parish church and in schools. I moved back to the States in August of 2020 and now serve as a Student Ministry Associate here at Stonegate by the grace of God. Some of my greatest joys include shopping, reading, being outside, working out, movie nights, solo dance parties, coffee with friends, baking, and cooking (when I can work up the courage to face my InstaPot).

Stonegate is where I first experienced the deep joy and freedom that comes from following Jesus and being known in community. My hope is that the same is true for everyone who ever walks through our doors and that our church is marked by the welcoming and genuinely loving grace of our God who is always working all things for our good and His glory.
