I grew up in a small Oklahoma town (Sulphur) and inside of a Jesus-loving family. At thirteen the person and work of Jesus became real to me, and my life changed forever. After high school, I went to the University of Oklahoma, where multiple life-altering events occurred. First, I met Laura, who I married in 2002. She is an amazing gift from Jesus, beautiful inside and out. Second, I finished with a B.A. in Finance (and later a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary). And third, Jesus (as a huge surprise to me) opened my heart to ministry and opened a door into student ministry at a church in Mansfield, TX.
After working in student ministry for almost eight years, Jesus then opened another door to plant Stonegate Church. I was sent out with a group of twenty or so adults to Midlothian, TX. And from there, we’ve witnessed the Lord do miracle, after miracle, after miracle. I find such joy in pastoring the people of Stonegate.
The Lord has gifted me three kids (Hannah, Caleb, and Eva), and I find such joy in being their dad. I also enjoy a good book, a good cup of coffee, catching big bass, and playing tennis.
My greatest hope for Stonegate is that we’d enjoy the greatest being in the universe – Jesus! And that we’d give our lives to making disciples.
