I was born in colorful Colorado and the Lord saw fit that I would live in Chicago and Las Vegas as I grew up. It was my freshman year of college in 2000 where the “hound of Heaven” as CS Lewis calls the Holy Spirit, that the Lord in his kindness grabbed me out of my sin and brought me into His family. After getting married to my amazing wife, Crystal, in 2004, we headed over to Denver. After graduating college I worked in real estate for a few years. Crystal and I felt called to move out to Denver where I got my Masters of Divinity from Denver Seminary. From there I went back to work in the business world for a couple of years while pastoring at a church that was being revitalized.

The Lord then lead our family out to Seattle where I would work with Acts 29 for a short season before taking a Pastor roles of leadership development and community groups at a large multi-site church. In 2014 I planted a church in Seattle and got to see the beauty of God doing redemptive work in really hard messy moments.

Outside of church, I’m all about lacing up my running shoes for the next race I’m training to run. I usually have a stack of books much bigger than I have time to read through, with varied topics from theology, to health, to fitness, finance and leadership. Traveling is a big deal for our family too. Crystal, our kids Grace, Emma, and Samuel, and I love to explore new places together whenever we get the chance.

The prayers and hope’s I have for Stonegate are pretty consistent; that we’re not just filling seats but that we’re crafting deep, life-changing joy in Jesus that will have us joyfully say “YES!” to whatever God has for us. That we can fully surrender and submit every areas of our life knowing that our God is so Good and his ways are best. I’m all in on fostering a church culture that’s vibrant with love, dedicated to service, and committed to digging deeper into what God has for us. Let’s see where God takes us on this incredible journey together.
