Ryan Kearns

Executive Pastor
I was born in colorful Colorado and grew up in Chicago and Las Vegas before the Lord graciously saved me my freshman year of college in 2000. Like C.S. Lewis’ “Hound of Heaven,” the Spirit pursued me in kindness, calling me out of my sin and into God’s family.

In 2004, I married my incredible wife, Crystal, and we began our journey of life and ministry together. God led us to Denver, where I earned my Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Leadership from Denver Seminary. During that season, I was deeply involved in a church revitalization effort and developed a lasting love for seeing churches come back to life and flourish.

Our family later moved to Seattle, where I worked with the Acts 29 Network and then served on staff at a large multi-site church, overseeing leadership development and community groups. In 2014, I planted a church in Seattle and witnessed God’s redeeming work in the middle of both beauty and brokenness.

Along the way, I’ve also been grateful for the chance to serve on nonprofit boards and to coach and consult pastors, church planters, and leaders — helping them thrive in the ministries God has entrusted to them.

As Executive Pastor I get the privilege to lead our staff and oversee the operations of the church. My hope for Stonegate is simple: that we would be a people rooted in the joy of Jesus and ready to say “yes” to whatever God has for us.

Outside of ministry, I love lacing up my running shoes for the next race, working my way through stacks of books on theology, leadership, health, and fitness, and traveling with Crystal and our kids, Grace, Emma, and Samuel, whenever we get the chance.
