STONEGATE MISSIONS & CHURCH PLANTING

"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.” Habakuk 2:14

PRAYER & EVANGELISM

We inspire, train, and mobilize our people to pray for and share the gospel with both their neighbors and the nations. Mission begins with dependence on God and faithful witness where He has placed us. Join us for a prayer service at Stonegate Monday thru Thursday!

LOCAL OUTREACH

Stonegate partners with trusted local ministries that extend compassion to the vulnerable in our community. Our desire is not only to be generous financial partners, but active, present partners—serving alongside these ministries through consistent participation.

SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIPS

While our primary commitment to the Great Commission is through long-term partnership with and sending of church planters across the globe, we believe short-term trips are a valuable tool for discipleship and mobilization. These trips provide first-hand exposure to gospel work in the field, invite our people into active participation in the mission, and allow us to meaningfully encourage and pray for the church planters we support. We encourage anyone who desires to partner with and strengthen global church planters to consider joining us on a short-term trip.

CHURCH PLANTING RESIDENCY

Stonegate’s Church Planting Residency values faithfulness over speed, health over hype, and formation over mere deployment. This residency is not designed to simply affirm a desire to plant, but to confirm readiness to do so. Over 18–24 months, the pathway is aimed at one outcome: the planting of healthy churches that endure.

For Stonegate, church planting is the primary aspect of global missions. This convictional emphasis is founded on the belief that the Great Commission belongs, first and foremost, to the church. As Ephesians 3:10 says, God plans to manifest his wisdom through the church. Furthermore, the church is the household of God—his temple in whom he dwells by the Spirit (Ephesians 2:20-22). That said, we believe that a biblically sound missions strategy must include the multiplication of healthy, gospel-centered churches. At Stonegate, we join the work of making disciples of all nations by supporting organizations and gospel workers who plant and strengthen churches in every nation.

At Stonegate, Missions is Church Planting. That said, church planting is the big “E” on the eye chart of our missions ministry. For us, this means regularly hiring and training church planting residents, keeping the body aware of global church planting efforts, and spearheading collaborative church planting in the greater DFW area and beyond.
