I grew up just down the road in Maypearl, Texas. Early on in high school, some friends invited me to a discipleship weekend and by God’s grace he drew me to himself after hearing the gospel. Just months later, I was invited to join in on a girls’ retreat with Stonegate and have been here since! The Lord has used the people of Stonegate to teach and model for me what it looks like to walk with Jesus and to live for Him.

During my time at Dallas Baptist University, the Lord began opening my eyes and burdening my heart for the lost. On a trip to Southeast Asia, the Lord began stirring my heart for the nations and I was intrigued by experiencing new cultures.

After graduating from DBU, I moved to a country in North Africa for two years and it was the greatest privilege I’ve had. These two years were life-changing: getting to witness the work He is doing there, as well as in my own heart. Stonegate has provided me with a rich gospel community and a place of significant transformation. What a joy it is to be back!

My hope for Stonegate is that we would continue to be a people that seek out the lost, sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with many. My prayer is that as we keep our eyes transfixed on Christ, asking Him to continually transform us more into His image, our eyes would be open to the needs around us and be moved to be the hands and feet of Christ. May the people of Stonegate be known for their unshakeable hope in Christ and joyful willingness to say ‘Yes’ to what the Lord is asking of them.
