Dex Reese

I am blessed to have several years of leadership experience in the context of education
and athletics under my belt and it has been sweet to witness how the LORD has made those
skills transferable and applicable to ministry. I enjoy ministering to people where life exists and
helping them see their circumstances and challenges through the lens of the Bible. My
introduction to Stonegate is a unique one as the first time I walked into the building was to vote.
At the time I was seeking a place that was gospel-centered, Christ exalting, and plurality led and
I found all three at Stonegate.

I enjoy exercising my mind with books, my body with weights, and my soul with the Lord.
World War 2 movies are my fave, southern food is where it's at, and dancing to the latest line
dance is always a good time. I was once a tour manager for Reach Records and also used to
be a road manager for a local DJ company. I have worked in collegiate and professional sports
with the University of Kentucky, Southern Methodist University, and the Dallas Mavericks. I’ve
also been stung by two jellyfish and lived to tell about it. When I’m not enjoying recreation alone
I am usually on a local adventure of some kind with my wife and our two sons.

My hope for Stonegate is that it would keep Christ at the center, form deep love for
Jesus in its people, and be a church that looks like its local community ethnically and culturally. I
truly believe the best is yet to come at Stonegate.
